TAX DEDUCTIBLE AMOUNTS FOR CHAMBER DAY DONATIONS

The IRS allows you to deduct donations to 501(c)(3) organizations like USC minus the cost of any of the items or services that were received. Consult with your accountant or tax preparer to be sure about what you can and can not deduct. The following is a list of the various Chamber Day events, their donation levels, and the Chamber's cost for items and services provided:

  • Chamber Day Dive:
    • Donation to Chamber - $90
    • Cost to Chamber - $9 for t-shirt
  • Chamber Evening Dinner:
    • Donation to Chamber - $90
    • Cost to Chamber - $50 for drinks, appetizers, & meal
  • Flying Dutchman:
    • Donation to Chamber - $90
    • Cost to Chamber - $9 for t-shirt
  • Chamber Challenge:
    • Donation to Chamber - variable
    • Cost to Chamber - none
  • Chamber Day & Chamber Evening Raffles and Blind Auction:
    • Donation to Chamber - variable
    • Cost to Chamber - none (note: winners of raffle prizes will need to claim the value of their prizes as income)
